Koffee

Koffee has been certified silver for her hit single “Toast” in the UK.

Koffee has something else to celebrate before her Super Bowl Weekend performance, as her single “Toast” hit a new landmark.

The 2019 hit single has been certified “Silver” in the United Kingdom, for amassing sales of more than 200,000 copies.

The announcement was made by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), which is the body responsible for issuing certifications for singles and albums in the UK.

The achievement has since been praised by Columbia Records UK President, Ferdy Unger-Hamilton.

According to Unger-Hamilton, Koffee is a ‘once in a generation artiste,’ and they are privileged to have worked with her.

“If you look closely on what Koffee has done in just over a year you will see that her fans love everything she does. This is really just the beginning for Koffee,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

The Grammy-nominated star rose to international acclaim in 2019 after “Toast” charted in numerous countries around the world.

The single peaked at number 70 on the UK Official Singles Chart, and also topped the Reggae Digital Song Sales chart. The single has over 95 million views on Youtube, making it one of the most successful Reggae singles ever.

Koffee is set to perform at the Super Bowl Weekend along with other Jamaican acts Shenseea and Squash.
