Koffee’s brand new single Lockdown is already being dubbed as the official song for Summer 2020.

The Grammy-winning artiste brought the tropical vibes to music lovers on Friday, July 17 when she rolled out the new banger. Lockdown is currently trending at number one on YouTube in Jamaica amassing close to 500,000 views in 24 hours.

Koffee says Lockdown is a gift to fans during the global pandemic and serves as a taster ahead of the release of her official new single “Pressure,” out July 30th via Columbia Records.

The accompanying video directed by Yannick Reid sees the 20-year-old Spanish Town native fantasizing a return to the outside after lockdown and was shot on location in Jamaica.

Lockdown visuals capture Jamaica’s vibrancy against a backdrop of love, life and friendship. It features cameos from Popcaan, Skillibeng, Dre Island, Dane Ray and many more.

2020 kickstarted with an historic Grammy win for Koffee in the Best Reggae Album category, a record breaking first for a woman and the youngest artist to ever achieve this and as we gear up for the release of new material, Koffee once again shines a spotlight on the island of her birth proving inspiration at the same time.
