Khago blasts DJs

Dancehall recording artiste Khago is blasting disc jockeys who he says are soliciting money from artistes to compile mix CDS.

The “On Top A The World” artiste expressed his views on the CD mixing culture which relies on music piracy – he believes that since artistes have not taken any recourse on the matter they should not be solicited by disc jocks for air play.

Khago stated that radio disc jocks are capable of turning records into hits therefore he has no issues compensating them monetarily since they are often times underpaid. However, he believes that compensation should be a matter of choice rather than extortion.
