Kanye West

The Tropixs (Kingston, Jamaica) Kanye West ‘Sunday Service’ got the support from the local Dancehall/Reggae community on Friday night.

Yeezy managed to pull out Jamaicans in their numbers at the Emancipation Park despite just days of promotion. Among those in attendance were Spice, Alaine, Jesse Royal, Agent Sasco and many more.

The free concert started at 7:00 p.m. with persons arriving as early at 4:00pm. The music selection was phenomenal as the choir remixed a slew of popular Jamaican gospel and secular tracks.

Kanye West’s Sunday Service Jamaica concert is the first appearance in the Caribbean.

“Kanye is going around the world, and one of his workers is from Jamaica and she told him that Jamaicans would like something like this,” said Jonathan Coleman, producer of the event. “We were given the red carpet by the Minster of Entertainment and Culture, and she moved heaven and earth to make this happen.”
