Kanye West

The Tropixs (Kingston, Jamaica) Kanye West’s Sunday Service was a hit in Jamaica on Friday night.

Jamaicans turned out in their numbers at the Emancipation Park in New Kingston to witness Kanye and his 20-Voice Choir Sunday Service and a 15-member band.

The free concert started at 7:00 p.m. with persons arriving as early at 4:00pm. The music selection was phenomenal as the choir remixed a slew of popular Jamaican gospel and secular tracks.

Kanye West’s Sunday Service Jamaica concert is the first appearance in the Caribbean.

“Kanye is going around the world, and one of his workers is from Jamaica and she told him that Jamaicans would like something like this,” said Jonathan Coleman, producer of the event. “We were given the red carpet by the Minster of Entertainment and Culture, and she moved heaven and earth to make this happen.”
