Kanye West is under fire for series of pro-Donald Trump tweets.

The controversial rapper took to Twitter on Wednesday to drop a slew of posts including a photo of himself wearing one of the president’s red “Make American Great Again” hats.

“You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.,” Yeezy wrote.

Kim Kardashian quickly came to his defence after his tweets sparked online backlash and he started to lose followers.

Kanye West’s Family Worried About His Mental Health

“To the media trying to demonise my husband let me just say this… your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary. So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair,” she tweeted.

However the damage was already done as Trump cosigned his Tweet saying, “Thank you Kanye, very cool!”

During his rant, Yeezy also criticised former President Barack Obama. “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed,” he said.

The series of tweets comes after fans lamented a report this week from Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden that West recently told him, “I love Donald Trump,” and defended a previous tweet in which the rapper complimented conservative commentator Candace Owens.
