John Legend taps Dancehall artiste for new single “Light Up the Night”

R&B singer John Legend is set to release a new collaboration with Dancehall artiste Stylez titled “Light Up the Night.”

The Phat Boi-produced single will be released by Blaze Entertainment Records on February 3 and follows Legend’s 2009 hit collaboration with incarcerated superstar Buju Banton for his “Can’t Be My Lover” remix.

The Portmore-based deejay who credits his management team for putting the collaboration together, told the Observer that John reached out to his team as he’s a big fan of Jamaica and Dancehall/Reggae music. “His people had reached out to my management team inquiring about the next big thing that will emerge from Jamaica on to the mainstream and at the same time I had got my manager to also seek out major collaborations for me as well,” he said.
