Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff has come out to show support for his fellow reggae artiste, Toots, as his condition improves.
Toots Hibbert has recently been hospitalized and is suspected to have the corona-virus. The reggae star has been in a medically induced coma at the University Hospital of the West Indies since September 2 after he developed respiratory complications on August 31.
Jimmy Cliff decided to express his support for Toots in a Facebook video he shared last week.
“Blessed love to everyone. Today I heard some not so good news about my friend and fellow artists, Toots of Toots and the Maytals, that he is an induced coma, so I am sending out positive energy and positive vibrations for him to get well soon, and I am telling my fans and friends to send out the same good energies to him,” Cliff stated.
According to Toot’s publicist,Claude Mills, the singer’s condition is gradually improving however he is still on a ventilator. His family wishes for more prayers, as the hope is that he will make a full recovery.
