JFF President Captain Horace Burrell Is Dead

Captain Horace Burrell is dead at 67.

The President of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), under whose leadership the Reggae Boyz qualified for the 1998 World Cup in France died on Tuesday, June 6.

Captain Burrell was diagnosed with cancer last year shortly after falling ill. He however, spent time away from football to treat the illness and returned later, expressing confidence that he had gotten better.

Janine Mundell, the JFF Administrative Assistant says staff members are in deep shock following the news.
