Jermaine Dupri has broken his silence on his alleged rekindled romance with actress-singer Janet Jackson, and he didn’t hesitate to shut down the rumors that have been swirling for weeks now.
Atlanta Hip-Hop mogul Dupri stands firm in saying that the two are actually just great friends and have been for awhile now, even after their breakup years ago.
“I never knew us not to be friends,” he says. “These stories are just all over the place. People keep making up these stories.”
The dating rumors sparked shortly after the pair was spotted together out in Atlanta.

However, according to ET, one of Jackson’s closest associates confirmed that, as of now, their relationship is on a platonic basis and said that “it was only natural for Jackson to reconnect with Dupri while she was in town.”
