James Bond New Movie To Begin Shooting Today In Jamaica

James Bond has returned to Jamaica!

The 25th Bond movie pays homage to Jamaica, the island where Ian Fleming wrote all his James Bond books and the set of previous 007 films, “Dr. No” and “Live and Let Die.”

Speaking at a media launch last week at Golden Eye, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, as well as new director Cary Fukunaga revealed that the film opens with Bond relaxing in “his spiritual home” in Jamaica.

Bond will find himself off duty and relaxing in Jamaica. His bliss will be cut short when sudden trouble ensues and a friend urgently needs his help. The mission: rescue a kidnapped scientist, the Observer reports.

Shooting in Jamaica will begin today, Sunday, April 28. Some 500 Jamaicans are expected to participate in the production. Filming has already been done in Norway, with additional production scheduled for Italy and London. The film will be released on April 3, 2020.
