Jamaicans ‘Cancel’ Shebada, Actor Losing Followers Over Insensitive Kaylan Dowdie Comments

Jamaican actor and comedian Keith ‘Shebada’ Ramsay is losing tons of followers following his insensitive comments about 17-year-old Kaylan Dowdie.

Dowdie was left with broken, swollen and beaten body parts after she was allegedly attacked by a group of women at a party along Barbican Road. She is currently on life support at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

On Friday night, Shebada went live on Instagram to share his views on the incident. According to the “Shebada Comes to Town” star, Dowdie deserved to be beaten by the women.

“Yuh see the war a go get heated, nothing nuh wrong if yuh run, you can run,” Shibby said. “Mek people chat yuh inna di morning seh yuh run from war… Any pickney weh waan play big woman life, treat dem like big woman… Six gyal beat yuh, mi nah tell nuh lie, yuh deserve it.”

Following the comments, several social media users called on a Shebada boycott and started to unfollow his social media pages.
