Jamaican law student and accomplice implicated in lottery scam

A Jamaican law student and a Hospitality Administration graduate have been arrested in the United States on charges of mail fraud.

Teresa Wilson, a 27-year-old law student who had just completed her studies at the Norman Manley Law School, at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica was arrested by authorities in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on June 16.

Wilson was implicated along with Yanique Coach, who is a reportedly a high school friend who graduated from the Florida International University with a Masters in Hospitality Administration and Management.
The pair are accused of defrauding an elderly American of US$270,000 through a mail fraud scam, in November 2015.
Authorities say Wilson had been on their radar for at least two years before her arrest.
