A Jamaican national was arrested in Guyana earlier this week when authorities discovered he tried to traffic over one pound of cocaine in deodorant bottles using the post office, The Guyana Chronicle reports.

On Tuesday, Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) agents working at the post office reportedly became suspicious after the 54-year-old man brought approximately twenty cheap deodorants to be shipped.

A detailed inspection was conducted which lead to them discovering that all the items were of the same scent although they were labelled differently.

The balls were then removed and it was discovered that cocaine was concealed in the bottles.
