Jamaican Artist ‘Linky First’ Gets Most Steamed Soca Song On YouTube

Linky First smash hit single “Rock & Come In” has created history in Soca music.

The Jamaican entertainer’s carnival anthem which was released back in 2016, recently became the first Soca track in this decade to secure over 10 million streams on YouTube.

Linky First is among a handful of Jamaican artists doing Soca. Last year, the St Catherine-born, whose given name is Jason Henriques, became the first Jamaican to make the final of Trinidad’s vaunted Soca Monarch competition.

Linky has since reacted to the milestone for his career and the genre by thanking fans for their continued support, “Thanks to all my fans, also the people who helped and supported me on the way up thank you, this is the beginning of a long journey, with your help we could do more and go further with Soca,” he said.
