Jamaica Teammates Gets Into Heated Altercation Before Relay Final

Two members of the Jamaica National squad got into an altercation before the Women’s 4×400-metre relay final on Sunday at the 2017 IAAF World Championship in London.

According to the technical leader, Don Quarrie, there was a brawl between MVP Track Club members, Shericka Jackson and Stephenie Ann McPherson.

The altercation resulted in one of the athletes saying she would not run with her team member. Quarrie says he was then told that McPherson had pulled out of the final because of injury and replaced by Anneisha McLaughlin-Whilby.

Unfortunately Jamaica failed to finish the race after McLaughlin-Whilby pulled up with an injury on the second leg.
