Jamaica Records 10 Murders In 12 Hours Over The Weekend

Ten murders were committed during the 12-hour period from Friday 6:00 pm to Saturday 6:00 am over the weekend.

According to police reports, a quadruple murder was recorded in Hermitage, St Andrew.  Dead is Ricardo Manhertz, a 37-year-old businessman of Anglin Place, Kingston; 27-year-old delivery man Ricardo Clarke; and Hakeem Sanchez, 19, who is from the Nannyville housing scheme in St Andrew. The forth victim is still unidentified.

Linstead, St Catherine also rocked by a triple murder. The victims have been identified as 15-year-old student of Bog Walk High School Marlon Reynolds, also called ‘Raggy’, a man known only as ‘Jano’, and a woman known as ‘Steffy’.

In St James, 32-year-old chef, Novado Jackson was shot dead in Tucker, Irwin despite the state of emergency imposed in the parish.

One murder was recorded in St Elizabeth near Font Hill beach and another on Brae Street, Kingston.

The police are investigating all 10 murders.
