Jah Cure ‘Royal Soldier’ Marches To Top Billboard Reggae Album Charts

Jah Cure has topped the Billboard Reggae Albums for the second time in his career.

The Reggae superstar’s long-awaited Royal Soldier album debuted in the Number position atop the Reggae Albums chart this week, following its initial release on August 30.

The 14-track album, which is distributed by VP Music, features collaborations with Popcaan, Padrino, Capleton, Junior Reid, Yami Bolo, Damian Marley, rhythm & blues singers Mya and Melanie Fiona and hip-hop star Tory Lanez.

The “Longing For” crooner previously topped the chart his 2015 effort “The Cure,” which reigned for seven weeks, while The Universal Cure peaked at number two in 2009.

Other Jamaican acts who are currently in the top ten of the charts include female Dancehall superstar Koffee, who holds on to the Number eight position, while VP’s compilation project, Reggae Gold 2019, occupies the number seven spot.

Jah Cure has remained one of the most relevant Reggae performers in recent years, with an exceptional catalog of hits spanning almost two decades.
