Jah Cure has finally broken his silence following allegations that he stole song credits and failed to pay royalties to a St Lucian female singer for the single ‘Rotten Souls’.

Last month the “Life We Live” singer was called out on social media by Tamara John, otherwise known as Lady Stone, for allegedly cheating her out of publishing rights on the track which appears on DJ Frass’ Road To Success album.

However, following weeks of backlash on social media the Reggae superstar has finally addressed the issue claiming that it was not his responsibility to credit the young woman but rather the producer.

Jah Cure Is In Big Trouble Again

“I worked with her and I didn’t put the record out on my album. But I give the record to DJ Frass and I give DJ Frass all the information for the young lady, and DJ Frass didn’t put the young lady information on the programme on time,” he said.

However, despite these claims, Tamara says she was contacted by the entertainer’s publisher after her social media rant who informed her that the singer never actually passed on her info.

“She told me she was never sent my information, so she assumed he wrote the song, him and someone else, the person who they’ve currently registered as the songwriter for the song,” the singer said.

Back in September, the woman took to social media claiming that she had worked for the entertainer for more than a year, penning several tracks without receiving any compensation or royalties.

She had threatened to take legal action against the entertainer, demanding that the “Rotton Souls” track be pulled from digital distribution, a move which could see DJ Frass’ entire album to be pulled from shelves.
