Ishawna set to address her Downsound exit

Dancehall artiste Ishawna is set to address leaving Joe Bogdanovich’s Downsound Records label.

The ‘Restraining Order’ singer severed all ties with the label last month and also failed to perform at Reggae Sumfest 2016 Dancehall Night. According to sources Ishawna conducted her first interview with Entertainment Report’s Anthony Miller where she spoke about the situation.

The interview will air Friday on Television Jamaica.

Meanwhile,Downsound Records CEO Josef Bogdanovich has declared that its business as usual for the company following Ishawna’s exit. According to the businessman the company has busy summer ahead, and is only set to grow from strength to strength Following a successful Reggae Sumfest campaign.

Bogdanovich also revealed that the company is putting its full backing behind reggae artiste Nature, who he expects big things from. He however stated that the label is still open to signing new acts, granting they have the right work ethic and loyalty.

The Downsound boss revealed that the company is set to engage in a busy end of summer tour, which will make stops in London, Copenhagen and finally in Rio to perform for the Jamaican contingent.
