Dancehall artiste Ishawna is finally sharing her side of the story as it relates to her Reggae Sumfest no-show, leaving Downsound Records and relationship with Joe Bogdanovich.

Speaking candidly with Entertainment Report (ER)’s Anthony Miller earlier this week, the ‘Restraining Order’ singer says she never attended Dancehall Night at Reggae Sumfest 2016 as her manager Bogdanovich, who is also the head of the event never gave her a contract or helped her to prepare for the show.

“When you’re an artiste and you’re signed to a company and you’re booked for an event you normally get a contract, you normally get a chance to look over your contract, you know what your obligations are and what time you’re going to perform, you have to get your outfit together, i didn’t get any of that put in place,” Ishawna said.

Ishawna said for those reasons that’s why she didn’t perform as she has to give the best to her fans. Confirming that she has left Downsound Records Label, Ishawna says things weren’t going the way she wanted it to go.

She continued by saying, “It’s a business and if it’s not running right you need to know what you must do, so Ishawna is just doing she.”

Ishawna added that Joe Bogdanovich worked for her and he wasn’t focusing on her career, she also made it clear that she’s no longer legally signed to the label.

Ishawna also dared Bogdanovich to come back for the Mercedes-Benz he bought her last year summer. “The fact is it was a gift it was a gift that was due to me it worked hard for that gift, you understand and it was my gift and mi still have this gift so that’s how it goes,'” She said.

Ishawna also refuted claims that there was any personal relationship with Bogdanovich, saying it was strictly business.
