Ishawna Reignites Miss Lou Tablecloth Controversy

Dancehall singer Ishawna could be trolling fans or she forgot about her controversial comment about the late Louise Simone “Miss Lou” Bennett-Coverley.

The “Equal Rights” singer faced heavy backlash last year when she compared the legendary Jamaican poet/folklorist’s bandana attire to a tablecloth.

“Mi nuh dress inna tablecloth like Miss Lou #RipMissLou,” Ishawna infamously wrote on Instagram.

However on Christmas day, Ishawna once again sent tongues wagging when she uploaded a photo wearing a dress resembling the national bandana outfit.

“Wait deh? A Miss Lou tablecloth settings yuh guh?,” one fan questioned. “Ishawna swear she slick ain’t that the Hon. Louise Bennett’s tablecloth that you disrespected last year?.”
