Ishawna Dropped By Management Following Miss Lou Controversy

Female Dancehall artist Ishawna has been dropped by her management company, Donsome Booking Agency.

News of the split comes days after the “Equal Rights” singer ignited a firestorm of criticism following her disrespectful statements about Jamaican cultural icon Miss Lou on social media.

In a statement released by Donsome Bookings CEO, Donsome Hanson, it was revealed that the company is no longer be representing the controversial singer, and that they would only be responsible for honouring bookings up to July 7, 2017.

Ishawna also confirmed news of the split earlier this week after she updated her Instagram bio to reflect her new booking information.

No reason has been given for the split between the two parties, however some fans have already speculated that it was Ishawna’s controversial comments about cultural icon Miss Lou, and the resulting negative backlash.

The female deejay controversial posted on Instagram that “mi nuh dress inna tablecloth like Miss Lou”..

The separation is Ishawna’s second management change in a year, after she notoriously parted ways with Downsound Records last summer.
