The St Andrew police have seized just over 300 pounds of compressed ganja, and arrested one man during a operation on Molynes Road, Kingston on Monday.
According to police reports, the drug bust was made during a vehicular checkpoint operation. Cops say a Toyota Town Ace motor vehicle was stopped and searched and the drugs was discovered.
Cops say they discovered 345 pounds of compressed ganja disguised as breadcrumbs in boxes with false compartments. The drug is said to have a street value of JMD 1.7 million.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and is expected to be charged after he is interviewed by investigators in the presence of his attorney.
