Mavado’s son along with another man were charged in July for the June 5 murder of Lorenzo Thomas, in Cassava Piece, St Andrew.

It is being alleged that the two accused were among a group of men who went to Thomas’ house. The door was kicked open and Thomas was shot, chopped with machetes and then set ablaze.

The teen is being housed at the Metcalfe Street Secure Juvenile Remand Centre. He is scheduled to return to court on October 17.
