Dancehall entertainer Mavado was allegedly defrauded of $31 million by real estate attorney, Jennifer Messado.

According to reports, after Mavado made the payment it was revealed that the owner was not incarcerated. He denied giving Messado permission and said he was not selling his Grosvenor Terrace, Kingston 8 property.

Mavado’s lawyer, Tamika Harris says Messado only returned about $9 million to the deejay after the deal went bad.

On Wednesday, Jennifer Messado appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court to face the charge. She was granted bail in the sum of $5 million.
