Controversial Dancehall artiste entertainer Gully Bop has been arrested and charged with assault in St Thomas.
The 56-year-old ‘Wuk Affi Mi’ deejay was taken into custody last week Friday after his wife, Deborrah Nicholson made report at the Morant Bay Police Station.
Nicholson says Bop, whose real name is Robert Malcolm, hit her in her face during a dispute causing swelling and pain at a residence in Nuts River District, St Thomas.
Gully Bop was granted $40,000 bail and is booked to appear in the St Thomas Parish Court on June 27.
