Govana In High Demand, Tops Chart In St. Vincent, Heads To Canada

After being named ‘2017 Breakthrough Artiste of the Year’ and taking home some silverware courtesy of the ‘Your View Awards’ (YVAs). 4th Genna recording artiste Govana is definitely seeing an upsurge in popularity and demand come 2018.

Enjoying premium rotation on the airwaves and social scene, the Spanish Town deejay has also seen a considerable spike in requests for concert appearances across the diaspora. The artiste is booked for a cadre of high profile assignments in the weeks ahead including Digicel Grand Prix, Up To The Line (After Champs Party), Aidonia Birthday Party, Crab Fest and Reggae Sumfest among a plethora of others. Govana is also expected to depart the island in May for Toronto, Canada.

Govana Treats His Mother For Her Birthday

Best known for the tracks Run Road, Gyal Clown, Gyal Thief, Loco and Breeze(featuring Aidonia), the deejay has also climbed to the top of St. Vincent’s Hot 97.1FM Chart with his latest effort ‘Rich Forever’. Featured on the newly released Life’s Path rhythm compilation the project is produced by Good Good Production.

Alluding to the increase in demand Govana says, “My management has been getting a lot of requests for shows especially in North America and the Caribbean but previously we weren’t accepting dates because I was focused on honing my craft, expanding the catalogue and completing my upcoming EP.”

Recently making his debut on British mainstream radio with the collaborative effort ‘Breeze’ alongside Aidonia. Govana has also released the official video for the aforementioned amid promoting his latest effort ‘Rich Forever’. Shot throughout the Kingston & St. Catherine metropolis, the visuals for ‘Breeze’ were captured by RD Studios.
