Kym Hamilton Aka Gaza Kim, is now on a journey to reclaim her position
is dancehall, she is the former first lady of Portmore Empire.
However her career was cut short following an unfortunate ordeal that took place on Friday, January 22nd, 2010 when she was beaten by alleged cronies of Vybz Kartel which brought her into a state of depression and she later left the Gaza Camp.
Since then her career went downhill, she claimed she has allegedly been “Blacklisted” by key players in the dancehall industry because no disc jocks was playing her songs and no producers wanted to record her music.
She re-emerged in 2015 with a song and video titled “guns out” and also a collab with kiprich but she was still lacking management and promotion. Since august 2017 she has signed a promotion and marketing agreement with St Ann based entertainment group “RayeBann Entertainment’, owned and operated by Mario ‘RayeBann” Clarke.
She is currently promoting a single called “Gods Plans’ where she outlines the entire ordeal at the Gaza Camp, Producers that wanted to have sex with her in return for music production among other challenges she faces.
The song is produced by J1 Productions and is featured on the Love Saga Riddim along with
former team member Jahvinci among other artiste. The song went viral in two days since its release, it has gained almost ten thousand views on youtube in less than 24 hours.
Since then the song has been uploaded by some of the most popular YouTube uploaders, reviewed by some of the top music review channels, and was mentioned in blogs by some of the most popular local blog sites. Following that viral single (God’s Plan) a song called “TORCHA” was released for preview and as also gone viral. the release of the song is highly anticipated by the fans.
The official visuals for the single (Gods Plan) is to be released in coming weeks. Gaza Kim is also gearing up to release an EP in the coming months.
