Hip-hop/grime MC & champion freestyler, Fyah Roiall has been hard at work, high up in the Blue Mountains at Peak Mountain Music, finishing his upcoming project set to drop later this year. The upcoming album “One Day” reclaims hip-hop as a product of Jamaica’s music culture. Rapping in his native Jamaican patois, painting pictures with his words of real life situations embedded in a complex understanding for his cultural & historical place in the world; Roiall’s raps are stories about the past, present & future that you can follow and feel. Although he is incredibly private, his lyrics provide a window into his mind, to a place where his observations can be said openly and shared with other “free minds” around the world.
Fyah Roiall, alongside producers Teflon of Zinc Fence Records, Covnsel & NJay of Peak Music, all incredibly passionate about the hip-hop/grime genre, [they] are ready to provoke and switch-up the music scene within Jamaica with controversial wordplay and heavy-hitting non-traditional beats that will have you enthralled for more. With an impassioned flow born of an observant intellect and sharp political consciousness, Fyah Roiall embodies his rich Jamaican musical heritage and is a powerful heir to conscious hip-hop rap to come.
The first single off the project, ‘NUTN’, is an upful message that even on your worst day, just pree (focus) conscious and don’t worry about NUTN, that no bad day is bad enough to take away your joy. Paired with a throwback hip hop beat, Roiall brings it home about keeping it simple – don’t let money, girls nor fake friends get you down…you have NUTN to worry about.
