Police have reportedly increased their presence in the community of Wakefield, Trelawny following a brazen drive-by shooting, which left four persons injured on Wednesday night.
According to reports, the four victims were shot by unknown assailants in close proximity to the police station. Eyewitness say the attack was carried out by gunmen who drove up in a white Nissan Tiida motorcar.
Following the shooting four men were reportedly discovered suffering from gunshot wounds and were rushed to hospital. One victim was treated and released, while the other three remain in stable condition.
Investigators say the attack may have a connection to a fatal shooting in the same area last month.
