FIFA 17 features a Damian Marley kit, talks putting locks in backpack to play football

EA Sports’ FIFA 17 has officially been released in North America and there’s a surprise for Jamaicans and Reggae fans as a custom uniform designed by International Recording artiste Damian Marley is featured on the popular football game.
Jr. Gong, the son of late Reggae legend Bob Marley made the announcement on social media Tuesday, “#FIFA17 is out today! Check out Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley’s custom uniform @EASPORTSFIFA#FUT17,” he wrote.
Marley who says he has been playing FIFA over over sixteen years now, also sat down with the EA sports team for a candid interview where he spoke about a slew of topics including his favourite element of his custom kit design.
“My favorite element is that it’s actually going to be in the game. I’m so thrilled about that,” He said. “I play ball. I like the kit design. I like how it looks. I play football more than I watch it. The kit design is something I’d actually wear. I would actually wear that on a field playing. So that’s something I’m proud of. It’s not like I just sell out and do a kit I wouldn’t wear personally.”
The ‘Nail Pon Cross’ singer added that they should feature him in the game with his locks tucked in a backpack, “A very good feature we should have in the game is to have my locks tucked into a backpack. My locks is so long now that when I play if I don’t put it in a backpack I would step on my hair. It gets in the way,” He said.
