Father Discovers Missing Son Was In Jail For Illegal Firearm

A concerned father got the shock of his life last weekend after finding out his missing son was actually detained for illegal possession of a firearm.

Aubyn Jarrett, a 38-year-old disabled man from St Ann was in the process of reporting his 15-year-old son missing after he did not return from school last Friday before receiving notification that the boy had actually been arrested in connection with an illegal firearm.

According to reports, the boy was detained after cops found an illegal firearm in a vehicle he and friends were travelling into a party he did not receive permission to go.

The teenager was released on Monday after cops say another occupant in the vehicle confessed to ownership the illegal weapon.

The one-legged father expressed deep disappointment with his teenaged son, as he says he frequently warns him about the company he keeps, adding that the boy is only recently coming off suspension at school.
