Drake’s “VIEWS” achieves a record 1 Billion streams on Apple Music

Drake’s VIEWS album continues to break numerous records since its release nearly five months ago, as it became the first album to surpass 1 Billion streams on Apple Music.

Drizzy took to Instagram to share the historic achievement, after he was awarded a plaque from Apple Music honouring the record breaking feat. The Canadian superstar captioned the photo: “Thank you to everyone. OVO Sound to the @applemusic”

Since its release VIEWS has been certified triple platinum by the RIAA and dominated the charts for weeks. It also sold and incredible 600,000 copies on the first day making it one of the most successful albums of the year.
