Dr. Dre has threatened to sue Sony if their new made-for-TV movie “Surviving Compton: Dre Suge & Michel’le,” depicts him as a woman beater, according to TMZ.

Lawyers representing the Hip Hop legendary producer reportedly issued a cease and desist letter to Sony, warning them that they will take legal action if their client is portrayed in a way negative way that may damage his reputation.

According to reports, the film supposedly depicts Dre displaying a very violent relationship with his then girlfriend R&B singer Michel’le. The two dated for six years three decades ago and share a son together.

There is reportedly a particular graphic scene in the movie where Dre’s character allegedly pulls Michel’le by the hair, hits her in the face and pulls a gun on her, according to TMZ.

The Compton legend has reportedly denied claims of ever assaulting Michel’le, stating that during their relationship she never filed a police report, or received any medical attention.

The Hip Hop great faced considerable backlash last year for not addressing his alleged abuse towards women in his co-produced biopic “Straight Outta Compton.”

The “Chronic” MC did however issue a statement apologizing for his past actions without acknowledging any specific incidents saying “I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”
