Downsound Teams Up With Stylo G To Assist Needy Families During COVID Crisis

Downsound Entertainment has teamed up with Stylo G to assist Jamaicans in need during the COVID 19 crisis.

The Joe Bogdanovich led company and Stylo G have joined forces to offer some much-needed assistance to families struggling during the pandemic.

“We at Downsound have a background in helping people when crisis comes. Our Caribbean Love Now programme has helped thousands across the Caribbean and now that something is affecting our fellow Jamaicans, we just had to extend a helping hand,” said Bogdanovich.

“We have teamed up with Pepsi, Stylo G, Grace and some other companies to put together care packages that we will be delivering to those that need them all over the island. We began the rollout on April 1 and so far we have handed out 200 packages to assist 200 families and there’s so much more to come.”

Last week Stylo G took to Instagram to post a video of him and the Downsound team putting the packages together. Fans have since flocked to social media to praise the combined effort.

During an interview with The STAR, Bogdanovich described Stylo G as a person with a ‘big heart.’

“Stylo G is a very enthusiastic and encouraging man and there’s a reason why he’s growing as an artiste, because he’s a good man at the core. What’s inside of him is kindness and sympathy. He’s paying attention to the people and he’s reaching out,” he said. “I have a very good relationship with him and he’s always been easy to work with and generous for things that matter.”

Some of the items provided in the packages included non-perishable food and fresh produce.

Bogdanovich says it was important to include fresh produce as he wanted to support farmers. “Instead of them throwing their stuff away, we went there and bought them and talked with them, encouraged them because they’re also affected.”

Although they have delivered over 200 packages Bogdanovich says there are no plans to stop just yet. He went on to pledge to help another ‘couple hundred’ families in need during the crisis.
