Dovey Magnum is furious after journalist Dionne Jackson-Miller drilled The People’s National Party (PNP) president, Dr. Peter Phillips over her controversial dubplate.

Last week Dovey Magnum, who describes herself as “Dancehall’s Sweet, Horny Voice,” remixed her raunchy “Bawl Out” single to represent the PNP as they rolled out virtual campaign for Jamaica’s September 3 General Election day.

Speaking with Dionne Jackson-Miller on Television Jamaica’s (TVJ) All Angles program Wednesday, Phillips said he was unaware of the original version of the song however he approves of the lyrics in the dubplate.

Jackson-Miller told Phillips that when persons hear the dubplate they would ultimately think of Dovey Magnum’s slack version, “Everybody who hears the song thinks of the original…. And the original is a slack if we using Jamaican terms we would say slack, so how dat fit with your brand and your image?”, she questioned.

In response, Dovey Magnum took to Twitter blasting Dionne Jackson-Miller, while throwing shade at longtime rival Ishawna who recorded a dubplate for Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

“I’m sure my dub is not the only one when we hear it we hear the other original songs from the artist them!” she wrote. “But wait the artist Wey just start Mek ppl know she suck hood ney do one FE Andrew wid e suck p***y song Wey Shi sample? Ijs,” Dovey added.
