Donald Trump Makes Reference To Usain Bolt

As Donald Trump continues to denounce the ongoing protests being carried out by National Football League (NFL) players, the US president has made reference to Usain Bolt respecting America’s national anthem.

Trump who has been blasting NFL players for kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice, took to Twitter on Tuesday to use Bolt as a perfect example saying even the famed multiple time gold medalist and fastest man in the world shows respect to America.

Kasi Bennett Reflects On 4-Year Relationship With Usain Bolt

“Even Usain Bolt from Jamaica, one of the greatest runners and athletes of all time, showed RESPECT for our National Anthem!,” Trump after uploading a video that shows Bolt cutting off an interview so he could stand in silence for the American National Anthem.

The footage was back in 2012  at the Summer Olympics in London. Bolt is seen during an interview with Spain’s Television Espanola. He quietly stops the interview to stand in respect for the U.S. national anthem, which can be heard playing in the background of the arena.
