Dominica denies $3M settlement with Tommy Lee Sparta

The Government of Dominica has denied reaching any agreement with Gothic dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta.

Last week it was reported that the “Uncle Demon” deejay, real name Leroy Russell was set to receive a substantial cash settlement from Dominica following his 2014 arrest and subsequent deportation from the country.

However according to the country’s Attorney General Levi Peter there was no settlement in the case as discussions are still ongoing, “There is no settlement with Tommy Lee Sparta.” he told reporters on Friday. “A report was referred to me this week of some settlement of three million US dollars. I can say that categorically that that is inaccurate, incorrect and from where I sit and on the instructions I have from the government at the moment there will be no settlement in the sum of three million US dollars.”
