A DJ sues Walgreens for $640K over defective ear plugs

A DJ is reportedly suing Walgreens for $640,000 over claims that they sold him defective earplugs that damaged his eardrums.
According to a lawsuit filed by Joseph Alpern, he purchased earplugs from a Walgreens outlet in 2013 after he was hired for a job at a Brooklyn club notorious for its powerful sound system.

Alpern claims that after using the product for several hours and then removing them he then experienced a “immediate sharp pain, accompanied by a ringing sound.”

The Dj claims the pain didn’t subside, and after months he was told by a specialist that he had permanent nerve damage, which may have been caused by how tightly the earplugs were sealed.

The DJ claims he now suffers from constant headaches, fatigue and is unable to listen to music at regular volumes.
