Dexta Daps Break Silence After ‘Secret’ Concert In New York Make Headlines

Dexta Daps has sought to address his performance in Brooklyn over the weekend.

The Dancehall entertainer was featured in the NY Post after they claimed that he took the stage at a secret event on Saturday night which attracted a a packed crowd which failed to exercise COVID-19 guidelines.

Under the New York’s COVID-19 guidelines, outdoor entertainment-related activities are only allowed to resume at 33% capacity and with six feet of distance between people.

In now-viral footage form the event, Dexta Daps alongside Ikaya can be seen performing live for hundreds of fans packed tightly at an undisclosed outdoor venue.

The “Owner” singer has since addressed the allegations saying that the show did not violate any COVID-19 guidelines. “I couldn’t say how many persons were there but I know it was at the number that the venue required,” Dexta Daps told the Star. “You ever heard of a thing called camera trick?… I don’t know what is being portrayed in the pictures but I was there and I wouldn’t say it was overcrowded.”
