Dancehall artist Devin Di Dakta has signed a deal with the United States based independent label Downtown Records.
The “Rri Bam Bi Deng Deng” deejay recently revealed that he signed a contract with the New York based label, which is also the home of several acts such as Major Lazer, Gnarls Barkley, Cold War Kids, Mos Def and many others.

According the entertainer, the move is a positive one for his career as the label will expose him to new markets not readily accessible to many Jamaican artists. The young deejay feels the move is at the right time, and will be a major stepping stone in his growing career.
The St Mary born entertainer says that the label reached out to him expressing their admiration for his tremendous work ethic and professionalism.
Devin has enjoyed a progressive year internationally, as he was heavily featured on Sly & Robbie’s Grammy-nominated project, “Sly & Robbie Presents… Reggae For Her – Devin Di Dakta & JL.”
