D’Angel demands justice in father’s death

Female Dancehall artiste D’Angel is demanding justice for her father who was tragically killed in a car accident along the Old Harbour road in St Catherine.

D’Angel’s father, Clive Downer, was struck down while crossing the street by a motor vehicle along the Old Harbour road on August 9. He was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Initial reports had indicated that the 70-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident, however police reports say this was not the case. According to the police, the driver, took Mr Downer to hospital and reported the incident to the nearest police station.

D’Angel is however unsatisfied with the pace of investigations, and is fuming that the driver was allowed to walk freely after reporting the incident. She explained that charges have been laid against the driver, and the only update she has received was that police are investigating the incident.

The evidently emotional female deejay expressed the grief she feels, having lost her father forever. He was laid to rest, last Wednesday.
