D'Angel

D’Angel has found herself in the midst of another controversy, this time with Dionne Jackson Miller.

Miller found herself the subject of some nasty verbal abuse following a review she made about the Lady of Dancehall’s performance at Unruly Fest.

“Bch, I gave an epic performance where they beg me to come back on stage. Btch, keep my name out of your stinking mouth. People like you bring down other women instead of giving them their glory. Go review your video sh*t,” the tweet read.

However, D’Angel has since distanced herself from the comments, claiming it was an unauthorized post made by her social media personnel.

The entertainer says she was appalled by the thoughts expressed in the tweet, despite the fact that Jackson’s review was erroneous.

D’Angel further explained that the delay in addressing the issue was due to the busy holidays.

“I want to take this time to apologise to anyone who may have been affected by the comment. Having recognised the importance of social media responsibility, we are handling the situation and want to ensure it doesn’t happen again,” she said.

The “No Worries” deejay went on to proclaim that she is looking to put the drama of 2019 behind her, and start the new decade on a positive note.

“My focus right now is on my career and my brand, and keeping a positive outlook on life. Dancehall is controversy-based and it’s hard to avoid that, but the latter is not a part of my vision for 2020; so I’m going to try my best to stay far from it in the new year.”
