A female dancer has died following a dancing stunt gone wrong.

Young female dancer ‘Bumpa’ has died following injuries sustained in a botched acrobatic dance stunt.

According to reports, ‘Bumpa’ died while engaged in an acrobatic dance stunt which involved another female dancer.

In a viral video clip, Bumpa is seen on her head top while her legs were being adjusted being by fellow dancer Momo.

Apparently, Momo was supposed to jump through Bumpa’s legs, landing on the opposite side. However, it seems things took a turn for the worst as Momo landed on Bumpa’s body breaking her neck.

Reports indicate that the incident took place at a popular event on Tuesday night, while Bumpa succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

Yesterday details of the tragic accident were given by veteran female dancer Dyema Attitude.

Dyema took to Instagram Live to play a voice note allegedly sent from Momo explaining what went wrong.

In the recording, Momo explains that she would normally execute the stunt with another dancer. She says she miscalculated the jump which caused her ‘bodyweight’ to fall on Bumpa.

“Me a go over her and me body weight come down but a nuh di whole a me body weight me put over her, but the body weight weh me put dung pan her, she go down pan her neck, yuh understand,” she explained.

Despite the accident, Dyema would go on to defend stunt dancing but cautioned that it should only be done by professionals.

“Yuh affi do dem stunt deh wid professional people. Yuh see when me a dance, things weh me know me and my dancing partners do, me nah go try wid anybody else. My dancing partner used to me and me used to him because we practise. Me always tell dancer don’t try nuh new style. Don’t try weh unu nuh know. Anything unu don’t know, don’t do it. Leave it alone,” she explained.
