A’mari DJ Mona Lisa is gearing up for a promotional tour in Africa.

The controversial social media sensation-turned-Dancehall artiste says she will be hitting up several countries in the continent.

Speaking with DancehallMag, A’mari, whose real name is Veneice Fung-Chung, says this will be her first promotional trip to Africa.

“It’s my first time. After the offset of “Neko” so much was occurring all at once and I had to make choices yet I kept this particular tour in the forefront of my mind,” She said. “It means so much to me to be on ancestral territories following the footsteps of Marcia Griffiths and other influential female artist that I look up to. It strengthens me as a woman.”

Back in August, A’mari DJ Mona Lisa declared that she was the biggest artiste in Jamaica thanks to the success of her “Neko” single. She also disclosed during an Instagram Live video that “Neko” deserves a Grammy Nomination for next year.
