Dancehall Selector and Stylist Imprisoned In US For Drug Trafficking

Dancehall selector DJ Crazy Chris and stylist Keshon Hawthorne have received prison time in the United States for their drug trafficking charges.

Montego Bay-based disc jockey, promoter Chris, 37, whose given name is Christopher Samuels, was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release on cocaine trafficking and related charges when he appeared in the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.

Crazy Chris was sentenced on Monday by Chief US District Judge Frank D Whitney and is currently being held in the Mecklenburg County jail.

Keshon Hawthorne appeared in court on Thursday and was sentenced to 33 months in prison and three years of supervised release for smuggling cocaine.
