Dancehall, Reggae community reacts to police shootings in the US

The Dancehall and Reggae community has expressed their sadness after the two police-related shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in the United States earlier this week.

Since news broke the likes of Popcaan, Cham, Sean Paul, Jesse Royal, Tifa, Agent Sasco, Tarrus Riley, Denyque, Kaci Fennell and Yanique Barrett have since shared photos online.

“Stop killing us!!,” Cham wrote online while holding a message which read ‘Fighter of love.’

Jesse Royal shared a quote from Malcom X with the caption, “We need to stop looking for the right things in the wrong places!!! Tired a talking!!! #altonsterling✊🏾🙏🏾💔.”

“Here, there & everywhere 💔 #rip,” Tifa said.

While Tarrus Riley wrote, “Whats going on…really now..#nowords#SAD.”
