Jada kingdom has come under fire from Dancehall fans after she offered support to embattled Rapper Tory Lanez amidst allegations that he shot Megan Thee Stallion.
The Canadian rapper is facing charges over an alleged shooting incident in July, with an arraignment set for next month. The charges, issued on October 8, included assault with a semi-automatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and for carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
He has since denied shooting Megan in the lyrics of the track ‘Money Over Fallouts’, which was released in September.
The rapper has also been issued with a protective order ruling that he cannot contact or come within 100 yards of Megan Thee Stallion.
On Tuesday, Tory Lanez took to Instagram LIVE to proclaim his innocence, “It’s falsified information …and its not accurate information,” he said to the over 200,000 viewers. “I don’t ever wanna come off like I’m here to bash this girl or I’m here to talk down about this girl or ever be at a place where, like, I’m disrespecting her, because to me, as a person, she’s still my friend. No matter what … even if she doesn’t look at me like that … I look at her like she’s still my friend,” he continued.
Tory Lanez got backlash from several social media users, however Jada Kingdom was shockingly in the comments offering her support.
The Dancehall signer was spotted by fans in his LIVE feed reacting to several of his statements. While he addressed his felony charges and the incident with Megan, one of Jada’s responses read, “THANK YOU FOR BEING STRONG FOR US! (purple heart).
Mumma Heavy! continued repping for Nigeria “PRAY FOR NIGERIA!! .. #ENDSARSNOW,” she wrote, in clear support of the SARS protests as Tory closed his Live by bringing awareness to the suffering of his people.
Dancehall fans weren’t here for Jada Kingdom in Tory’s comments as many called her out online. “not jada kingdom being a certified yamhead for the public to see??,” one user wrote on Twitter.
“every time I start to like Jada kingdom she does some yamhead things I don’t rate,” another added. “Jada Kingdom embarrassing us in front of 211k people,” they continued.
