Dancehall artiste Rytikal has been remanded into custody after appearing in the Gun Court via Zoom this morning.

According to his attorney Abel Don Foote, a bail application will be made at the next court hearing on March 4.

Rytikal, whose real name is Rohan McFarlane, has been charged with illegal possession of firearm. Last week he was arrested after cops found a .380 pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition found in his car.

According to reports, the deejay initially told the police that the weapon was a prop for a music video.

Rytikal is only the latest Dancehall star to be arrested on gun charges in recent months. Other acts currently behind bars include Laden, Tommy Lee Sparta, and 4th Genna artiste Shokryme.

The rising star is best known for being a part of the popular Eastsyde camp which also features Skillibeng. He was one of the breakout acts for 2020, scoring several hits such as Cookie Jar, King Inna War, and Brawling.
